Gluten Free Foods

When shopping for Gluten Free Foods, take time to read each package of food. A true Gluten Free Food will state, "Gluten Free" on the package.  Most grocery store chains have specialty food aisles. PeaPod is an amazing resource for Gluten Free Foods because you can actually view the packaging on line to determine the ingredients in the foods you may want to purchase.  You can visit their website at www.peapod.com. Trader Joe's has a Gluten Free Food list at each store.  This is also very helpful when you shop. The best resource by far is www.celiacdisease.net. There you can sign up for a newsletter with helpful tips and recipes.

Sunset Foods

We are always on the quest for the best tasting Gluten Free products. As time goes by, we will add onto this page with lists of our favorite companies and restaurants. By far, the best tasting bread company we have found is Schar. You can visit their website at www.schar.com.  Their white bread is the closest we have found to a true store bought white bread. You can find their products at Meijer and Sunset Foods. Sunset Foods has a special Gluten Free aisle. Meijer chooses to spread their Healthy Foods out throughout the store. Just look for the Healthy Foods signs in each aisle. If you choose to bake, please try Pamela's Bread Mix and Flour Blend. Pamela's mix creates the tastiest muffins, pancakes and bisquits. They are smooth and not grainy. You can find Pamela's mix at Sunset Foods and Meijer or you can visit their website at www.pamelasproducts.com.

We will keep you updated with new foods and products every month.
